How long does it really take to ship a website with Lovable?
With Lovable Web Agency, a marketing site ships in 48 business hours, a full marketing site in 72 hours and an app with auth and a database in 96 hours, a contractual timeline governed by our terms. DIY on Lovable, plan 1 to 10 days depending on your fluency and actual complexity.
| Project type | Contractual timeline | Frequent suspension cause (ToS art. 7.2) | Observed actual timeline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marketing site | 48 business hours | Missing text/visual content | 45-50h |
| Full site | 72 business hours | Late client sign-off on mockup | 68-76h |
| App with auth + DB | 96 business hours | Stripe/domain access not provided | 90-98h |
| Multi-role SaaS | 96h + amendment | Scope extended mid-project | 100-140h |
What are the phases of a Lovable project?
Four phases structure a project: (1) product framing (goals, journeys, content, sitemap), (2) build (AI-assisted generation + third-party integrations), (3) iteration (client reviews, UX/UI tweaks), (4) go-live (deployment, redirects, monitoring, DNS).
Most of the time goes to framing and iteration, not to the build itself. Thanks to Lovable, code generation is only a fraction of the schedule: most of the contractual timeline is spent framing correctly and validating with the client, not hand-writing code.
What are our contractual timelines per package?
Our three packages set a contractual timeline in business hours, counted from receipt of all required elements (content, access, approvals): Starter 48h for a marketing site of up to 5 pages, Pro 72h for a full site of up to 12 pages, Scale 96h for an unlimited-page project with one month of support included.
These timelines are publicly verifiable on our homepage and restated in our terms of service. Any request outside the initial scope requires a written amendment (ToS art. 5.2), which may change the announced timeline.
| Project type | Package | Contractual timeline | Observed actual timeline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marketing site (≤5 pages, no backend) | Starter | 48 business hours | 45-50h |
| Full site (≤12 pages, blog, forms) | Pro | 72 business hours | 68-76h |
| App with auth + database | Scale (partial) | 96 business hours | 90-98h |
| Multi-role SaaS (auth, roles, billing) | Scale + amendment | 96 business hours + amendment | 100-140h |
What suspends the contractual timeline countdown?
ToS art. 7.2 states that the business-hours countdown is suspended as long as the client has not provided the elements required to move forward: validated text and visual content, access to third-party accounts (domain name, Stripe, existing tools), sign-off on a blocking step.
The countdown resumes once the missing elements are fully received. This clause protects the contractual timeline: it prevents a client-side delay from being attributed to the agency, and explains why two projects under the same package can show very different delivery dates despite an identical number of billed business hours.
- Content (copy, images, logos) not delivered on time
- Missing third-party access (domain name, Stripe, CRM)
- No client feedback on a blocking validation step
- Scope-change request pending a signed amendment
Which factors lengthen or shorten the timeline?
Lengthen: unclear scope at kickoff, unprepared content, complex third-party integrations (multi-currency, internal ERP), multilingual beyond two languages, sector-specific regulatory compliance.
Shorten: a precise briefing from the first call, an existing design system or brand guidelines, content written and approved upfront, standard already-documented integrations (Stripe, HubSpot, Cal.com).
What are real delivery examples?
AXE Capital: full marketing rebuild delivered in 72 business hours, from kickoff to production, Pro package.
Osmose Solutions: premium institutional site delivered in 48 business hours for a trade event, Starter package.
Docart: full SaaS app (auth, upload, AI, payments) delivered in 96 business hours for beta launch, Scale package.
Why the gap between a DIY delivery and an agency one?
DIY on Lovable, the generator produces code in minutes, but real time dilutes into unstructured iteration: prompt trial-and-error, no formalised product framing, late discovery of technical constraints (RLS, edge functions, SEO).
A specialised agency compresses this time by applying a methodology repeated across dozens of similar projects: framing templates, a go-live checklist, and detailed knowledge of the platform's limits.

Related questions
- Does the timeline include iterations?
- Yes, each package includes a defined number of client reviews within the announced contractual timeline.
- What happens if my content is not ready?
- The countdown is suspended per ToS art. 7.2 until content is received. We can also help with copywriting if needed, via an amendment.
- Does a multi-role SaaS fit into the Scale package?
- The Scale package covers the base (auth, database, unlimited pages). Multiple roles and advanced billing often exceed this base and require a written amendment.
- Is express delivery possible?
- Yes, subject to team availability and a clear scope from the first exchange — contact us.
- What does the Scale package's support cover?
- 90 days of technical support and 3 months of maintenance included: minor fixes, adjustments, security updates and go-live support.
- Why does the actual timeline sometimes exceed the contractual one?
- The contractual timeline counts active business hours; suspension periods (ToS art. 7.2) extend the calendar delivery date without changing the number of billed hours.
