Lovable Web Agency — Sites & applications, Lyon

    Frequently asked questions

Pricing, timelines, scope, code ownership, limits: the 20 questions clients ask us most, answered in line with our terms and conditions.

How much does a website or app built by Lovable Web Agency cost?

Three fixed packages: Starter €990 excl. VAT (up to 5 pages, delivered in 48 working hours), Pro €2,500 excl. VAT (up to 12 pages with authentication, database and payments, 72 working hours) and Scale €10,000 excl. VAT (multi-role platform, API integrations, 96 working hours, 90 days of technical support and 3 months of maintenance included). Beyond Scale, we issue a custom quote valid for 30 days. Anything outside the initial scope requires a written, priced amendment (T&Cs art. 5.2).

How fast is the site delivered, and when does the clock start?

48 working hours for Starter, 72 for Pro, 96 for Scale. The clock starts once we have everything we need: content, brand guidelines, technical access and an approved brief. Late approvals or missing content on the client side automatically pause the countdown (T&Cs art. 7.2). If we are more than 15 calendar days late, the client can terminate after formal notice and be refunded pro rata for work not delivered.

What exactly is included in a package?

Every package includes brief framing, interface design, React/TypeScript development, integration of the content you provide, technical SEO fundamentals (title, meta description, structured data, sitemap, robots.txt), production deployment and full handover of access and source code. Page count, backend features and support duration vary by tier. Included revisions are two rounds for Starter, three for Pro and five for Scale, to be requested within 14 days of delivery.

What is not included in the packages?

Not included: full copywriting and translation, photo or video production, third-party licences (fonts, stock images, paid APIs), advertising campaigns, monthly maintenance after the support period, native iOS/Android development, and integrations with undocumented proprietary systems. These are quoted separately through a written amendment before work starts. The Lovable platform subscription and any infrastructure costs remain with the client and are billed directly by those vendors.

Who owns the code once the project is delivered?

The client owns the delivered source code once the price is paid in full, as set out in our T&Cs. The repository, the Lovable project and access to third-party services (database, payments, analytics) are all transferred. The agency retains ownership of its reusable components and know-how, granted to the client under a perpetual, non-exclusive licence for that project.

Which technologies do you use, and why?

React 18 and TypeScript for the interface, Vite for the build, Tailwind CSS for the design system, Supabase (PostgreSQL, auth, storage, server functions) for the backend and Stripe for payments. These are standard, well-documented technologies: any React developer can take the project over without depending on us. Our own site is hosted by Lovable Labs AB; for client projects, hosting is chosen together based on their constraints.

When is Lovable the wrong tool?

We advise against Lovable for native mobile apps that need system APIs (Bluetooth, sensors, long offline use), for embedded or real-time software, for tightly coupled legacy systems with no API, and for sectors requiring a specific certified hosting chain (for example health data needing an HDS-certified host) until that chain is validated. In those cases we say so before the order rather than selling an unsuitable project.

How many revision rounds are included after delivery?

Two rounds for Starter, three for Pro, five for Scale. A round is a single consolidated batch of feedback. Revisions cover the ordered scope: fixes, content, layout or behaviour adjustments. A new feature, an extra page or a change of art direction falls outside scope and requires a priced amendment (T&Cs art. 5.2).

    How does payment work?

Packages are paid in one instalment through Stripe Checkout (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, SEPA transfer depending on tier). No card data passes through our servers: Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. For a custom quote, the schedule is 30% on signature, 40% on design approval and 30% on delivery. Prices are excluding tax; French VAT at 20% applies to clients based in France and to EU consumers.

Can I cancel my order and get a refund?

Consumers have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (French Consumer Code art. L.221-18). If they expressly request an immediate start and the service is fully performed before the deadline, the right no longer applies (art. L.221-28 1°). If withdrawal happens mid-project, only the work already performed is due. Business clients do not have this right.

What does a project look like step by step?

Four steps: scoping needs and content, designing the interface and data model, development and QA, then production deployment with full handover. We work over video calls and in writing, with a continuously updated preview URL the client can check at any time. The full method is detailed on our Methodology page.

Is the site optimised for search engines and AI answer engines?

Every delivered page has its own title and meta description, a canonical URL, Schema.org structured data, a sitemap and a robots.txt. We also apply GEO principles: a direct answer up front, question-shaped headings, comparison tables and cited sources, so the content is extractable by ChatGPT, Perplexity or AI Overviews. A single-page app does none of this by default: we publish our prerendering method in detail, with before/after measurements. Ranking then depends on competition and published content; we guarantee no position.

Who hosts the site after delivery?

Hosting is chosen with the client based on their constraints (data location, budget, existing integrations). Our own site is hosted by Lovable Labs AB. The client stays the owner of the domain name and hosting accounts, so they can switch providers without going through us.

    Is the site GDPR-compliant?

We ship the required building blocks: consent banner, conditional loading of analytics scripts, privacy policy, legal notice, and minimised data collection in forms. Full compliance then depends on the processing the client actually runs (records, retention periods, processors). We document what is in place at delivery.

Can I edit the site myself after delivery?

Yes. The project is transferred to the client's Lovable account, where they can keep iterating through prompts, or export the code to their own Git repository and work with any React developer. We provide a handover session and documentation of the sensitive parts (environment variables, database access policies, deployment).

Do you offer maintenance after launch?

Every package includes technical support: 30 days for Starter, 60 days for Pro, 90 days for Scale, plus 3 months of maintenance included with Scale. Beyond those periods, maintenance is a separate contract priced according to the desired scope (fixes, enhancements, security monitoring). No minimum commitment is imposed.

Can you take over an existing site instead of starting from scratch?

Yes, when the existing content and URLs can be carried over cleanly: we keep the indexed structure, set up the required 301 redirects and check canonical tags. We do not, however, take over maintenance of a closed proprietary stack or of code we cannot run locally.

Can I sell online with a Lovable-built site?

Yes, through Stripe: one-off payments, subscriptions or a product catalogue, with server-side validation of amounts and webhooks. That scope maps to the Pro or Scale package depending on product count and billing complexity. For very large catalogues with multi-warehouse stock management, a dedicated e-commerce platform remains a better fit.

Who actually works on my project?

Simon Berna, founder of Lovable Web Agency and president of Axe Capital (a French SAS registered with the Lyon commercial court, SIREN 904 636 222), runs scoping and delivery, with design or backend specialists brought in depending on scope. The client has a single point of contact from brief to launch.

How do I get started with you?

Two ways in: book a scoping call from the Contact page, or order the package matching your need directly. Either way, we agree together on scope, the content you need to provide and the start date before any development begins. If your need does not fit our packages, we say so and point you elsewhere.
